Community partnerships

ISE actively cultivates meaningful connections with the local Estonian community through a diverse range of partnerships and initiatives. Beyond the annual Digital Detox Camp that kicks off each school year for MYP and DP students held in partnership with an Estonian Youth Camp, the school fosters engagement in numerous ways. These include regular visits to local theaters, museums, nature parks, and cultural sites, enriching learning experiences and connecting curriculum to Estonian culture as well as a strong partnership with the Estonian Chamber of Commerce and internship offerings with local companies like Bolt

To provide enhanced opportunities to our PHE students, we’ve partnered with top sports facilities near our campus. Our lessons and events take place at premier venues like Kalevi Keskstaadion, JK Kalev, Tallinna Spordihall, Lasnamäe Kergejõustikuhall and Kalevi Spordihall, ensuring a more dynamic and high-quality learning experience in advanced specialized environments.

Collaborations also extend to local higher education institutions such as Tallinn University, working with Estonian teachers and teachers in-training and opportunities for our DP Design and Visual Art students with the Baltic Film and Media School, further integrating students into the academic landscape. Service learning plays a vital role, exemplified by long-term partnerships with organizations like the VAO Centre of Estonia to support refugees, a 23-year collaboration with a local women’s shelter, and participation in World Clean Up Day and the local Food Bank.

The school also engages in curricular partnerships, notably with Tallinn English College to broaden subject offerings for DP students. These diverse connections, from cultural excursions to service projects and academic collaborations, enrich the educational experience and foster a deep appreciation for the host country.

We also have strong connections to multiple embassies in Estonia and invite guest speakers from them on a regular basis.
