Abraham is an experienced IB educator with nearly a decade of MYP and DP teaching experience across IB schools in the United States, China, and Estonia. He has taught DP Biology, DP Environmental Systems and Societies, and MYP Science, and has also worked in programme support and curriculum development. His previous roles and responsibilities have included acting deputy coordinator, CAS Coordinator, Pamoja School-Based Coordinator, homeroom/advisory teacher, curriculum review and alignment, and student research supervision through Extended Essays, Internal Assessments, and Personal Projects.
Originally from the United States, Abraham was born in New Mexico and grew up mostly in Colorado. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Colorado State University and his Master of Science in Teaching and Learning from Colorado State University Global. As an educator and programme leader, Abraham’s work is rooted in inquiry-based, student-centered learning. He aims to support a rigorous IB learning environment where students develop curiosity, scientific literacy, critical thinking, international-mindedness, environmental awareness, and academic integrity.
Abraham has been living in Estonia since 2021 and will join ISE in the 2026-27 school year as MYP/DP Coordinator and Biology Teacher. Outside of school, he enjoys cycling, hiking, cooking, camping, and watching ice hockey and movies with his wife and daughter. He enjoys living in Estonia for its access to nature, clean air, and welcoming atmosphere. He looks forward to becoming part of the ISE community and getting to know students and families in the coming years.
