Annabelle Southern

Annabelle Southern was born and raised in Perth, Australia. She completed a bachelor’s degree in music performance in Opera Studies (2003) and also a Post Graduate Diploma in Opera Studies (2010). She completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Education, specialising in Music and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education (2006).

Annabelle worked in the field of Opera and Classical Music both in Australia and the United Kingdom, performing as an Opera singer, in chamber music ensembles and performing on the Clarinet and Bass Clarinet.

Annabelle has over 20 years of experience working in the field of music, as a specialist in classroom primary and secondary music, teaching singing and clarinet, choral conducting, band and orchestra conductors, steel pans ensemble leader and teaching music composition and music analysis.

During her spare time, Annabelle enjoys swimming, reading, singing and spending time with her family.
