Ion Soare

Born in Transylvania, graduated from the Bucharest Polytechnic University with a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ion has a long professional career in power plants industry, participant in many projects all over the world. He works for major players in this field: General Electric, Alstom Power, Electricité de France, AFRY, Thiess Australia, holding various technical leadership positions. On many of these jobs, he performs as well technical teaching/coaching for customers' engineers.

Ion has executive leadership roles in a small UK company since 2001, in an Estonian company since 2015 and he is advisor of the Board of Directors for another UK company since 2021.

Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Romanian, Ion was working the most in Switzerland, where he lived for more than 7 years. He was also working resident in Malaysia, Romania, Mexico, China, Tunisia, France, New Caledonia, Greece, Egypt, Chile and Estonia. He is married to an Estonian and has a daughter who is an MYP student at ISE.
