Joseph Levno

Our school Director, Joseph Levno, has worked in education for 30 years and has been an international school educator and leader for the past 20 years, in the Philippines, Egypt, Colombia, and South Korea. Mr. Levno has been a school director, principal, academic affairs and curriculum director, and history teacher in his previous schools. He has also worked for the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) as a New Service Design Manager.

Mr. Levno’s educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Comparative Politics and Chinese; a Master’s degree in Asian Politics, a Master’s degree in Education Management and he is currently working on his Doctorate of Education in Leadership. Building cultures of belonging where all community members are seen, heard, and feel like they belong is Joseph’s priority as an educator, supporting students in attaining their potential through individualized learning pathways that elevate student voice and choice.

On a personal level, Mr. Levno has two adult twins who both graduated with IB DP diplomas, a wife of over 30 years, and a furry canine companion of the last 12 years. He loves learning new languages, having mastered Mandarin Chinese, with a good working knowledge of Spanish, and looks forward to learning Estonian. Travel, being active outdoors, and reading great books are some of the ways he likes to unwind. He looks forward to getting to know each and every ISE family member in the coming years.
