Ujjala Shroff

Ujjala is from the City of Joy, Kolkata in India. She is a trained and certified elementary teacher. She has 14 years of teaching experience across primary grades. She received her Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) degree from Calcutta University. She completed her elementary teacher certificate with five distinctions. After gaining a few years’ experiences in the classroom, she completed her M.A. degree in education from Roehampton University in the UK. She has received extensive PYP training and has taught across elementary grades in various international schools in India, Tanzania, the UK, Libya, Egypt, Russia, China, and the USA.

Ujjala encourages students to inquire deeply within their passions, interests, and talents. She actively supports students to connect with their learning and make a positive difference within their communities. She is also passionate about working collaboratively using information technology and being connected with the environment. 

As an international teacher, Ujjala has been able to pursue her hobby, traveling and hopes to write about her experiences in the future. She also loves going to the ballet, walking, reading, and painting. Ujjala is excited to be a part of the learning community at ISE.
